CNC Turner

 A programmer/operator required for our live tooling CNC lathes.  Applicants should be well-versed in programming and capable of working on their own initiative to a high standard. Ability to solve problems with the manufacture of one-off and small batch components for the motorsport industry. 

Experience in using cad-cam offline programing useful but not essential but the applicant must be proficient at programing their own work.

This position would suit a conscientious person with the ability to adapt ideas and methods to suit the job in hand. Flexible working hours and opportunity to wok up to 10 hours overtime a week at the standard rate.

Due to continued and sustained growth, we are looking to expand our design department. Using CAD, the successful candidate would be expected to produce models and manufacturing drawings of parts and assemblies, either from original drawings or from samples. This would include performing engineering design changes to incorporate modern design philosophies for increased reliability and/or performance. The ideal candidate will also need to work closely with the on-site machine shop and assembly shop engineers to help increase production efficiency and ease of assembly. Good knowledge of engineering materials, surface treatments and heat treatments would also be useful.The position would involve working with cars of significant historical importance so an interest in this area would be beneficial.  Flexible working hours and opportunity to work up to ten hours overtime per week, at standard rate.  Working within a friendly team in a long established engineering company.Use of the following software will be essential to the role, with previous knowledge advantageous but not essential:Solidworks, Solidworks EPDM, Epicor Vantage ERP. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar engineering role.
